Déjà toute petite, notre Yui baignait dans la musique tout comme sa mère. Elle chantait partout et tout le temps et au fur et à mesure, elle se mit a exprimer ses talents de compositrice dans son journal intime et dans ses cahier qui ont vite pris la forme de recueils. la musique gagnait en importance dans sa vie, et chez les disquaire elle avait pour habitude d'écouter toutes sortes de musique différentes notamment les nouvelles sorties. ET un jour, le déclic se produit en écoutant pour la première fois miss Avril Lavigne, la jeune Yui fut conquise par cette musique particulière et apprenant que cette artiste écrivait,composait et interprétait ses propres chanson et qu'elle avait en outre à peu près le même âge qu'elle,elle comprit qu'elle aussi voulait vivre pleinement son rêve et devenir chanteuse. Malgré cette ardente volonté qui l'animait de percer dans le milieu musical, sa scolarité monopolisait une importante partie de son temps amenuisant ainsi celui dédié à sa passion, c'est pourquoi elle décida d'y renoncer pour se consacrer pleinement à son projet. Alors qu'elle se baladait dans la rue, elle croise un de ces petits groupes proposant des concerts de rues improvisés, et , après les avoir observé, leur demande des conseils quant à la démarche à suivre pour exercer la profession de chanteuse. Ces derniers lui indiquent de bonnes écoles de musique qui pourraient l'aider à se former. La jeune fille suit leur conseil et intègre l'une d'elle à l'âge de 16 ans: elle y apprend notamment à jouer de la guitare et à parfaire ses compositions.Son rêve se concrétise et elle s'y donne pleinement tant bien qu'elle joue jour et nuit au point que ses voisins et parents lui demandent de jouer ailleurs.C'est à cette époque qu'elle commença à partir seule du côté de Shingu no Umi pour être tranquille, depuis ce lieu est devenu son endroit préféré et c'est d'ailleurs ici qu'est né le titre "It's happy line". Dans cette école qui regroupait beaucoup de gens motivés, elle a du beaucoup travailler pour réussir.Elle se produit alors pour la première fois avec un petit groupe plus expérimenté qu'elle sur la chanson "Goodbye to you" de Michelle Branch et elle ne présentera qu'un peu plus tard un de ses propres titres à savoir "Why me". Elle termine "It's happy line" avec pas mal de difficulté au niveau des paroles qu'elle a mis longtemps a compléter pour finalement y immisser quelques petites phrases en anglais. En 2004, poussée par l'un de ses professeur, elle décide de participer à un concours organisé par la célèbre boite de prod Sony music. Elle leur envoie d'abord des démos tape passant ainsi les premières étapes. L'étape finale pour laquelle elle a été sélectionnée avec 9 autres parmi les 20000 participants initiaux,se déroule à Tokyo et c'est à cette occasion qu'elle quitte Fukuoka pour la toute première fois. au cours de son entretient, elle choisit d'interpréter ses deux premiers titres "Why me" et "It's happy line" et surprend le jury en leur demandant contrairement aux autres participants de pouvoir jouer asssise afin de pouvoir être accompagné par sa guitare. Elle décide finalement de chanter une chanson de plus "I know" qu'elle venait de terminer. Après cette audition , le label gr8!Records lui propose un contrat et cela provoque chez elle une profonde inspiration pour écrire ses textes. Elle termine alors la chanson "Feel my soul" qu'elle avait débuté avant de partir pour la capital et qui retranscrit ses pensées. Après avoir enregistré son premier single de façon définitive, elle part pour Kujukuri pour faire une "vidéo d'introduction" dont elle fut très contente. En septembre 2004, elle s'installe pour Tokyo mais sa ville natale lui manque. En décembre, sort son premier single "It's happy line" commercialisé au début uniquement dans la région de Kyushu. En février 2005 parait "Feel my soul" qui avait subit quelques modifications. La petite Yui grimpe encore et toujours et nous offre par la suite les singles Tomorrow's way, Life,Tokyo, l'album From me to you et les singles Good-bye days, I remember you et plus récemment le titre "Rolling stars" qui est comme toujours pour la miss une petite perle !
